January 20, 2005 : Dummies Guide to using your MP3 Player at the Office
I work in a nice office environment in the world's 2nd tallest building (DAMN YOU Taipei 101!), but it is quite a boring place - very quiet - except nearing closing time (when everyone's jumps into a working frenzy)
So how is one to work productively? by listening to music, silly! I had to introduce my iPod into my blog sometime right?
so here is my guide to use an MP3 player in the safe confines of a sterile, cold office:
1. Get an MP3 player - guess you know what I recommend right? IPOD's rock
2. get out your old cds and bootleg-mp3s (is there such a thing?) and do what you have to do to get them into your said MP3 player - i suggest some nice pop candy, radio friendly tunes
3. find a nice discreet pair of earphones and insert neatly into your earlobes
4. Press play on the tape deck (haha gotcha!)
5. Place a small mirror beside your pc - this will allow you to monitor incoming traffic (read:boss and boss's cronies)
6. Do your work normally (ie random typing of keys, scribbling in red ink, cursing into the phone...)
Of course - I dont offer any warranties on this method - your actions are your own! ha
